SWIMMING

Each year, every child in the school is given the opportunity to attend a six week swimming term in the National Aquatics Centre. The children follow the National Sports Campus Learn to Swim Programme for Schools. The programme consists of 4 stages, each stage laying the foundation for the next stage.

Swimming is a combination of different skills put together; learning the fundamentals of each skill will eventually enable the swimmer to perform any aquatic activity. Repetition will ensure each swimmer will have the opportunity to learn the necessary skills which they can develop each year as they progress through the programme. Each stage includes a Bronze, Silver and Gold level to cater for different abilities within each stage. At the end of each term, swimmers are issued with a swimming certificate.
