Our Maths focus this week in Junior Infants was to build towers using our Numicon pegs, boards and shapes. We challenged ourselves to make a Numicon shape using only the pegs and then build towers of the same shape. We also explored different ways of making the same number shape, for example, a tower of 3 + 2 = 5 and a tower of 1 + 4 = 5.
What a busy week of Maths – who would have thought we would be building lots of number towers?
